TURKEY MEATBALLS WITH FRESH HERBS

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey (or chicken)
  • ¼ cup plain panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cloves diced garlic
  • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 3 tablespoons diced onion
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 25 oz Jar of tomato sauce
  • 16 oz Package pasta

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the ingredients.

  • In a small bowl, beat egg and set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine the turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, basil, onion salt, pepper and egg.
  • Mix all ingredients together and using your hands form into equal size meatballs (16-20).

  • In a large non-stick pan, heat the olive oil on medium heat and add the meatballs. Cook turning occasionally for 8-10 minutes, or until browned on all sides.

  • Add the jar of tomato sauce and cook for 3-5 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
  • Serve with your favorite pasta and additional parmesan cheese. Enjoy.
